This project was done on a tight timeline coordinating with other trades to ensure a perfect installation much to the customers satisfaction and under budget.
UNVENTED HOT WATER CYLINDER CHANGE
This cylinder change was done due to the thermostat failing on the immersion and the safety devices on the cylinder failing to discharge the hot water before it got above 90 degrees which warped the cylinder and caused it to leak from the immersion tapping.
The new cylinder was installed in the same location but adjustments had to be made due to the different design of the cold water combination valve.
The copper pipes to and from the valve were bent to match the radius of the cylinder to keep the installation aesthetics looking as nice as possible and the use of the black Talon pipe clips finished the installation off nicely.
WATER SOFTENER INSTALLATION, NEW SINK TAPS AND TIDY OF PIPEWORK UNDER KITCHEN SINK
The existing stop cock was in an awkward position for the customer, the pipework under the sink was very badly done previously and the water in Chichester is very hard.
The solution was to move the stop cock to a more convenient location, install a water softener in an easy to access place, fit a new kitchen sink tap with filtered water and a pot was with a pre-blended softened water supply whilst removing the existing plumbing under the sink and tidying the whole thing up.
As you can see in the pictures the end result is a tidy kitchen sink cupboard with good access to the filter and water softener for maintenance and a stop cock that is full bore and quarter turn.
